Consumer Rights Protection in the USA

A Ukrainian citizen residing in the United States purchased a high-value product that did not meet the stated specifications. When the customer requested a replacement, the store refused to comply.

Outcome

Following a detailed review of U.S. consumer protection legislation, a formal complaint letter was prepared, citing specific legal provisions guaranteeing the consumer’s right to receive goods free from defects. Under both federal and state law, consumers are entitled to demand replacement of defective products. The store’s refusal was therefore unlawful. As a result of the legal intervention, the consumer’s rights were restored, and the product was successfully exchanged for a new one in accordance with U.S. law.
